Workshop in Lutsk

A workshop organized by "Foundation The Day After" for women's movement leaders and community activists was held in Lutsk

Foundation The Day After held a workshop for representatives of civil society organizations, leaders and activists in Lutsk to discuss the role of women in building a sustainable and just post-war future. The event brought together active women leaders from different regions of Ukraine who work on the development of social projects, peacebuilding initiatives and local strategies.

During the workshop, experts from The Day After Foundation conducted a series of trainings and practical sessions aimed at strengthening strategic thinking, communication, and community partnership building skills. Topics included issues of integrating international experience in post-conflict resolution, developing women's leadership potential in frontline regions, and practical tools for implementing local projects.

Participants not only had the opportunity to listen to lectures, but also to participate in group discussions, interactive exercises, and networking sessions that enhanced the dialogue between women leaders in the public sector. A separate part of the program was to document ideas that the participants plan to implement in their fields of work.

"The experiences and leadership of women in frontline regions are an important potential for post-war reconstruction," emphasized the organizers of The Day After Foundation, emphasizing the need to strengthen women's participation in decision-making processes.

This was one of Foundation The Day After workshops held throughout 2025 in different regions of Ukraine to exchange knowledge, build local initiatives, and strengthen women’s participation in governance. The Foundation is already working on follow-up events, including planning new workshops and forums to support women’s leadership, peacebuilding, and community capacity building in the post-conflict period.
