
Anna Nikolaienko is an expert on women’s participation in security and peacebuilding. She served as Advisor on Women’s Political Participation and Advocacy at the Ukrainian Women’s Congress (2018–2024) and as a consultant to the Equal Opportunities Caucus in the Parliament of Ukraine (2016–2018).
She holds a law degree from Yaroslav Mudryi National Law University. In 2021–2022, she was a Lane Kirkland Scholar at the University of Wroclaw, where she completed her research on on women’s participation in the security sector and defended thesis ‘Women's Participation in Peacebuilding and Security Processes: Implementation of NATO gender standards by Poland’.
Anna also participated in the OSCE-UNODA Scholarship for Peace and Security (2022) and the Future Leaders Forum at the Rīga Conference (2023), programs focused on developing young professionals in international relations, defense, and security.
