Workshop in Verkhovyna

A workshop "The Role of the Women's Movement in the Post-War Reconstruction of Ukraine" was held in Verkhovyna by Foundation The Day After

In October 2025, the “Day After” Foundation held a workshop in Verkhovyna for Ukrainian women leaders, aimed at strengthening the role of the women’s movement in post-war recovery, peacebuilding, and civic engagement. Participants from various regions gathered to discuss women’s political agency, their involvement in conflict resolution processes, and the development of social issues after the war.

During the event, a series of trainings, interactive sessions, and discussions were held, focusing on key aspects of women in peace processes, the role of narratives in societal reconstruction, and practical leadership tools. The various sessions provided participants not only with opportunities to listen but also to actively work on their own projects and initiatives.

The organizers ensured a rich program that included both expert presentations and working groups for the practical development of ideas. A dedicated part of the meeting was devoted to networking, where participants could exchange experiences and establish contacts for future collaboration.

One of the workshop participants shared: “This was not only a space for learning but also for inspiration — I am returning home with new ideas and confidence that our involvement matters.” Such feedback confirmed that the event not only expanded participants’ knowledge but also strengthened their motivation for active engagement in their communities.

The workshop in Verkhovyna aimed to strengthen women’s leadership, support networks, and communities in Ukraine during the current challenges and the subsequent post-war development. The Foundation continues its work on organizing new workshops and forums focused on supporting women leaders and building communities capable of responding to the needs of the time.
