
Alina Miakenka is a civic activist, lawyer, and advocate for gender equality and sustainable peacebuilding. She is a co-founder of "The Day After" Foundation—a Ukrainian non-profit organization focused on developing women's leadership, strengthening national unity, and supporting the Ukrainian women's movement in building a just and lasting peace.
With over 15 years of experience in law, management, and strategic planning, Alina is a dedicated advocate for human and women's rights. She actively promotes gender equality, social justice, and sustainable peacebuilding initiatives that will contribute to the recovery and future of Ukraine
Alina’s previous positions include:

Executive Director of the NGO "Ukrainian Women's Congress" — a platform advocating for women's rights and promoting their leadership (2021–2023).

Advisor to a Member of Parliament of Ukraine (2014–2021).

Senior Legal Advisor to the Kyiv City Council (2009–2012).

Legal Coordinator for a political party's election headquarters (2014).
In 2023, Alina earned a Master of Science in Leadership (MSL) from the Herbert Business School at the University of Miami. She also holds a Master of Laws (LL.M.) with honors (2010) and a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) (2008) from Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv.
